A notable upgrade includes the transformation of the charging handle, which no longer reciprocates but remains fixed in the forward position when not in use. This handle is now ambidextrous, can be switched from side to side, and serves a dual purpose as a forward assist. Further enhancing its user-friendly design, the Bren 2 Ms incorporates an AR-style bolt catch/release system that is symmetrically positioned on both sides of the firearm, in addition to a conveniently located catch/release within the trigger guard's forefront.
